How Research Impacted Our Ideas

Before we've had our results from our survey we knew what our target audience should be teenagers as this is generally the age who view horror films the most. We also know that females are more likely to watch a horror movie than males, which made us make the film more suitable for females. We did this by making the lead actor a female who uses the key conventions in a typical horror film. The virginal girl usually is the last girl standing or last survivor so we made this apply in our film. Furthermore, we use the stereotypical character types that are used in most horrors (the athlete, the idiot, the whore, the clever one and the virgin) we did this so that the audience could telt that it is a horror straight away. We dediced as our film was a supernatural horror we should try and use the key horror conventions.
